Dreaming to pursue engineering from one of the top NITs or IITs? Knowing the best JEE Main preparation tips can make your dreams come true.

Certain tricks if followed can help the students sail through this competitive exam with ease. Some of the valuable JEE main preparation tips include the important topics and chapters to focus on as per weightage given.

Edignite below offers JEE main chapter-wise revision tips so that by following them, cracking JEE main 2020 becomes easy.

      1. Remove all unnecessary information

Take a clear look at all the chapters to cut out any sentences or paragraphs that do not contribute to the maximum score. To feel better about cutting liberally, save the rough draft of the paper as a separate document so that you don’t lose any information that you may want to use later.

      2. Reorganize

Make sure you have presented your paper in the best order possible. Find the thesis statement in each paragraph, eliminate it and create a separate document with only the thesis sentences. Arrange the paragraphs to ensure they are in the best order.

      3. Check for missing information

Look at your re-arranged thesis statements and make sure that you do not need to add any more information. Understand what you are studying or at least try. Rephrase in your words when possible that makes easier to study.

      4. Check paragraph construction

When you put paragraphs in your paper while preparing, make sure that each paragraph follows the thesis sentence. Sometimes you may need to add new information. Other times you will need to split the paragraph into two, as you have two main ideas in the paragraph.

      5. Review your sentences

Ensure that the sentences are not too long and that you have some length. A rule of thumb suggests that no sentence should go on for more than two lines. Some sentences in the paragraph should be much shorter.

      6. Check transitions between paragraphs

Make sure that your sentences flow smoothly and understandable. If you found that your sentences are not clear, move paragraphs around or add transition sentences to ensure that the flow is evident to the reader.

      7. Check your words

Look out for using the same word repeatedly throughout the paragraph or on the same page. If you are using words such as appalling, use them sparingly, changing for words such as unfortunate and save appalling to make a more forceful point.

      8. Check for spelling and grammar

Read the chapters using the computer, you can rely on its spelling and grammar check. You can also check for comma placement, semi-colon, and colon usage, and quotation mark placement in sentences and paragraphs.

Edignite suggests spending two hours each day on these steps can achieve success. Good luck!
