Physics can be a nightmare for most medical aspirants due to improper preparation strategy. Edignite here offers expert tips on how to study physics for NEET 2020.

Most of the medical aspirants find physics as the toughest section as it consists of a wide variety of numerical problems, theoretical and application-based concepts. NEET physics requires consistent practice and a clear understanding of all the concepts and formulae.

Focus more on concepts and try to understand the process of derivations. Here are some simple tips to score well in the NEET physics 2020.

        1. Avoid Extremism

Candidates preparing for NEET 2020 physics can be divided into two categories, those who spend too much time on the physics section and those who avoid solving questions from Physics. Being on either side will not help you. Physics contain only 25% of the questions in the NEET exam, which means spending too much time on this subject will waste your time and chances of doing well in the other subjects. Therefore, divide your time equally among all three subjects.

        2. Compete with those preparing for JEE

It is important to remember that you are not appearing for the engineering entrance examination. Candidates must prepare the NEET physics section with the company of someone who is preparing for JEE. They should also refer to the previous JEE main papers for their preparation. You should understand that NEET physics has a completely different pattern, but don’t confuse yourself by attempting to questions of JEE advanced level.

        3. Avoid Books that are used by JEE aspirants

NEET physics does not require you to solve problems of the JEE advances level. Candidates preparing for engineering entrance exams have a stronghold on Mathematics, whereas, those preparing for NEET generally do not opt for Mathematics after class X. Thus, comparing your knowledge with JEE aspirants is not justified. Stick to the books that are recommended to only NEET physics. The time saved here will help you prepare the other two sections well.

        4. Keep a list of all formulae

While preparing a time table for NEET-UG 2020 exam, make sure that you keep a few hours for relaxation. Studying without breaks can take a toll on your mental health. Follow some relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga, and listening to music. Learning formulas is the most important step while preparing for the NEET exam. Edignite suggests making a list of all the important formulae that you find at the end of every chapter. Keep this list handy and referring them is essential while solving the numerical questions. This will help you save time and retain information better.

        5. Deriving a pattern from previous year question papers

Candidates must try to solve question papers of the last 10 years for NEET 2020 preparation. When solving the physics section of previous papers, try to find a pattern in the questions that are being asked in the NEET examination. Additionally, NEET previous papers are one of the best ways to familiarise yourself with the exam pattern being followed.

So, what are you waiting for? Edignie suggests starting with the above steps for a successful NEET physics exam preparation. Good luck!
